Prosecutor prepares for military action against crimes of the dictatorship

The Federal Public Ministry is intensifying efforts to set up processes that lead to the empowerment of people involved with the so-called permanent crimes - kidnapping and concealment of a body - committed by State agents during the years of military dictatorship. In Sao Paulo, federal prosecutors are about to judge the first actions in these cases, better known as "disappearances". They defend the idea that the possible perpetrators of crimes were not covered by permanent Amnesty Law, which covers a limited period of time, between 1961 and 1979.
